Buninyong wins 2 premierships in 2026

Congratulations to our Saturday Division 2  and Tuesday Division 3 teams who won their respective grand finals last week. Bring on 2026-27!!

We are a medium-sized bowling club with about 99 full (affiliated) members and about 35 social members.  The Club is located in the beautiful township of Buninyong, which lies at the foot of Mt Buninyong, about 11 km south of Ballarat.

Currently, we have two greens: one grass green (see picture below) and one synthetic green under construction. The Club is a member of the Ballarat Highland Bowls Region (BHBR) and has 4 x Saturday pennant sides (Divisions 2, 4, 5 and 7) and 5 x Tuesday pennant sides (Divisions 1, 3, 4, 5 and 6). Both pennant competitions are open competitions (i.e., they are open to women and men).  If pennant is not your go, we also have social bowls, Corporate Cup (Feb-March each year), tournaments, and Club games.

We have a very strong social environment. We usually catch up with other members every Friday night for drinks (4.00 pm - 9.00 pm) and the Stone Real Estate Ballarat & Buninyong Member's Draw. We have trivia nights, regular BBQs, and a punters' club during pennant season. Our relatively new clubrooms are a popular choice for weddings, parties, wakes and other such functions. Our afternoon teas during pennant season have become legendary within the region.
